The democrats are pushing for a vote on their health care take-over bill this Sunday. Paul Hsieh, writing for Capitalism Magazine, tells us its not too late to fight.
In the same magazine is an excellent short analysis by Jeff Scialabba of why health care is currently so expensive and why the democratic plan will only make things worse.
Reading his article demonstrates what is frequently true of liberal politicians. They usually fail to understand underlying causes of problems and focus only on short-range solutions. These solutions usually involve the government forcing a 'solution' onto the system. In a few years, when inevitably the system reacts in (predictable) ways to the outside manipulation, they then introduce even more mandates and controls to try to 'correct' those problems. With each iteration, government control grows and freedom is lost.
